iPhoneography Series: Craft Beer
iPhoneography: A purely digital photographic process using Apple’s iPhone camera as the primary tool, either as a hobby or simply out of fancy, in capturing and creating photographic images, which may or may not be edited from within the iPhone using built-in third-party applications or on the computer with full-fledged digital imaging software to approximate or appropriate the visual style of lomography or the Polariod, and then shared online via web upload or through email, or even as a printout [.]
I like craft beer.
I like it a lot. Some people call me a beer geek, an enthusiast, a connoisseur. Others use words like obsessed and crazy. All are probably accurate ways of describing my passion for finding and drinking great beer.
I like photography too.
I’ve always enjoyed capturing and presenting life’s moments in unique or nontraditional ways.
Combining these two passions has come naturally to me, and has allowed me to find and drink great beer, and take interesting pictures with my iPhone. Do some people think taking such artistic photos of beer is silly? Sure! Are they right? Maybe! But it doesn’t bother me. As I’ve always told people:
Never let someone else prevent you from sharing what you’re passionate about.
I like craft beer and I like photography. So I take pictures and don’t really care what anyone thinks! As a result, I’ve got some pretty cool photos of beer. I encourage you to embrace the passions in your life too, and to not worry about what others think about you. You’ll be a happier, fuller human being.
In the gallery below, you’ll see a few of my favorite brews and photos.
